I encountered this video on Facebook this morning, and I wanted to share it here on the blog. I taught for 22 years in public high schools, and in my opinion, this is spot on. As I’ve mentioned in other posts, I see a serious denigration of the concept of masculinity, and this is showing up in America’s school system. Boys are being forced into a girlish mold of behavior and interests to meet academic expectations. There’s little appreciate for the gifts and talents male perspectives bring to the classroom, and few classes give boys a unique opportunity to shine.
